Dr. Segal's Education
Dr. Segal received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then obtained her M.D. with dual honors in service to the community and research from Weill Cornell Medical College. She was awarded the Medical Society State of New York Award for medical excellence. She then went on to complete her transitional year internship at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and her ophthalmology residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine.
Dr. Segal completed an additional two years of subspecialty training in surgery of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system at the Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. This prestigious fellowship is one of few in the county credentialed by the Oculofacial Society (ASOPRS). She was an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine with appointments at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center before joining EltraSelf. She currently sits on a leadership committee of ASOPRS and is a member of Women in Ophthalmology.
